The Role 

Help us to protect consumers and put risk at the heart of our work. The BSB is seeking an Insights Manager to play a key role in our Regulatory Risk team. 

In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing the BSB’s understanding risks to the public interest in the legal sector. Your responsibilities will include overseeing data analysis and reports of areas of concern, providing critical insights to inform our regulatory work, designing monitoring strategies and maintaining our comprehensive risk framework. Managing two members of staff, you’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Risk-Based Regulation and other stakeholders, applying your expertise in data analysis and intelligence to make a significant impact.

You’ll play a key part of this evolution, contributing significantly to our developing abilities in data, intelligence and regulatory risk management. Your role will support a significant phase of innovation and development within the BSB.

The Bar Standards Board (BSB) regulates barristers and their professional practice and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales in the public interest. We are responsible for setting education and training requirements, setting standards, authorising organisations, monitoring the service provided, and handling complaints.
